Roller Shades
Window Treatments That Help You Love Your Home & Enjoy Your Privacy

What are Roller Shades?
Roller shades, also known as roller blinds or roller curtains, are a type of window covering used for various purposes, including controlling light, privacy, and aesthetics. They consist of a single piece of fabric that can be rolled up or down to cover or uncover a window or other openings. Roller shades are popular for both residential and commercial applications due to their simplicity and versatility.
Roller shades are a popular choice for homeowners and businesses looking for a simple and effective window covering solution that offers versatility, style, and functionality. They can be customized to meet specific needs and preferences, making them a versatile option for window treatments.

Types of Windows & Custom Sizes that Roller Shades Treatments Work For
Roller shades work best on the rectangle and square windows. Typically, they get used for places like bay windows, kitchen windows, and any standard window.
We do not provide roller shades on custom window shapes. If you need custom window treatments we recommend, Honeycomb or Shutters.
Customizing Your Roller Shades (Features, Specs, Colors)
Roller shades are the most customizable option because you can pick any fabric. They can have patterns, embroidered coverings, and even different textures and colors in different rooms.
This is a great price option in comparison with honeycomb blinds, and Roller Shades also do really well on windows with deep window jams, like in your basement.
Roller shades are spectacular for blocking the light and ensuring your privacy.

Sheer
Sheer fabrics block some sunlight while still allowing the outside view to be visible. Our customers use this opacity level for low-privacy living areas or statement windows.

Light Filtering
Light filtering fabrics block most sunlight and allow shadows or shapes to be seen through the fabric. We recommend this opacity level for everyday living areas such as kitchens or dining rooms.

Room Darkening
Room darkening fabrics can block up to 99% of sunlight and won’t allow any shapes or shadows to be seen through the fabric. This opacity level is a favorite for high privacy areas such as bedrooms and bathrooms.
Black Out Roller Shades
We also offer options for blackout roller shades. These are designed for the rooms that are truly meant for zero light coming through. Some of the rooms our clients have used black out roller shades for include:
- Theater rooms
- Windows facing bright street lights
- Bedrooms used for day sleeping
- Conference rooms where you give presentations throughout the day
Whether you need the strength of a commercial grade blackout roller shade or just want help combating bright lights; we have options for you. We are here to help you design the perfect treatment for you to enjoy your home and privacy.

Corded
Standard corded roller shades have a beaded or roped chain that raises and lowers the shade depending on how much you pull the chain. We recommend cords if your windows are high up, or if you need a step stool to adjust the shades.

Cordless
Cordless roller shades are certified children and pet safe. There are no hanging chains or cords; the shade simply must be pushed up or pulled down using the adjustment tab on the hem bar.
New cordless roller shade technology makes it so that these will not move on their own, you have to be touching the shade, and you have full control of movement up and down. They have a clutch which means you can raise it and lower it with your pinky, so it’s easy push-up or down. There is no snapping or fast rolling whatsoever.

Smart Release
Smart release roller shades have a chain mechanism, but instead of having to pull the shade all of the way up or down, you simply just give the chain a quick tug and it does the rest. This is a great, cost-effective alternative to motorized shades. If you want to see this in action be sure to let us know during your consultation.

Motorized
Motorized shades are highly popular and can be programmed to function by the push of a button. Up to 15 roller shades can be programmed to one remote. You can adjust every blind in the house without ever leaving your seat or bed!
